Super 8 Motel - Martinsburg

Waited at front desk 30 minutes to get checked in, ringing the bell repeatedly. Finally got in, the room was full of mold and bugs. Multiple interruptions throughout the night from various staff members. The next day housekeeping kicked me out of my room, told me come back in 30 minutes, 2 hours later they still had not finished cleaning and had room door propped open. Claimed they were watching the floor to make sure nothing happened to stuff, but I entered 6 rooms without anyone finding me or speaking to me. Checked out early, refused refund. Hotel was very outdated. Check-in was easy but it took me 10 minutes to find someone to check me out-when you ring the service bell it takes a few buzzes before anyone arrives to the desk. Not the cleanest place to stay, but if you're going to be out and about all day and just sleeping in the hotel it's not that big of a problem. Shower and bathroom did not look very clean, refrigerator was not turned on when we arrived, stains on pillows and torn comforter were disturbing. It is an older facility. But I would have expected the drains in the sink & shower would have worked & been cleaner. We got in late & left at 5 am, so we did not want to waste time changing rooms. ...read more

This is a great hotel for transients. The rooms were ultra modest and not clean. There are families associated with the hotel that live onsite in the rooms and the smell of curry and insense will give one a headache and make you sick to your stomach. At 4:00 in the morning I had to step into the hall and tell them to be quiet because they were out there with their doors open and talking way too loud. This hotel isn't to bad for people that's not picky. The heating/air conditioners, really need to be kept up and cleaned. It smelled very bad and was extremely dirty. Right off highway exit. Clean, warm basic Super 8 hotel. Continental breakfast is frugal. Raisin bran, Fruit loops, mini muffins and english muffins you can toast. Coffee comes in urn so don't expect fresh coffee. Orange juice and apple juice. But down the road are several places for a full breakfast. Heating was good in room. It was very cold when we visited and we were grateful to come into a cosy motel. Rooms basic, adequate and nice and clean ( no horrible dust bunnies) just don't expect luxury. Clean.
